Originally from the lush forests and rugged coastline of Maine, Jo has always felt deeply connected to nature. As a lifelong hiker and songwriter, she draws creative inspiration from the land—using the natural world as both a mirror and a metaphor to explore life’s experiences. Jo began performing at the age of 13 and later spent eight years in New York City, where she trained and worked professionally as a recording engineer. During her time in NYC, she also taught piano and voice to a wide range of students, aligning with her degree in music and deepening her passion for education. Now based in the Seattle area, she continues to perform, teach, and take on freelance projects, sharing her love for music and storytelling with her students.
